how_to_explore_the_relation_between_mypersonality_data_and_hoefstede_s_dimensions

This code might be useful in your research:

Aggregate whatever you want to look at

For instance:

DATASET DECLARE countries.
AGGREGATE
/OUTFILE='countries'
/BREAK=current_location_country
/O_mean_1=MEAN(O)
/C_mean_1=MEAN(C)
/E_mean_1=MEAN(E)
/A_mean_1=MEAN(A)
/N_mean_1=MEAN(N).

Match it with SPSS file containing Hoefstede's dimensions

File with Hoefstede's cultural dimension can be found in Download files section.

DATASET ACTIVATE countries.
SORT CASES BY current_location_country(A).

Note that you will have to correct the file path in the command below:

MATCH FILES /FILE=*
/TABLE='C:\MPcooked\hoefstede.sav'
/BY current_location_country.
EXECUTE.

Remove groups (in this case countries) with too few respondents

FILTER OFF.
USE ALL.
SELECT IF (n_respondents > 30).
EXECUTE.

Save your work

SAVE OUTFILE='C:\MPcooked\countries.sav'
/COMPRESSED.
